so.....

bored. i am not even comprehending how bored i am. i am so not comprehending it that i can't even type with capitol letters anymore. or capital. i can never remember which one stands for which word.

my parents are "discussing" right now. in very loud voices. i'm starting to feel like violet. my parents are always arguing, my annoying little siblings can both run faster than me, and i wish i were invisible. only difference is that i can't be invisible.

wow, my feet are cold. and my dog is laying on me. she's a very warm puppy. i love my puppy. she has this pink little tongue that gives amazing kisses. whenever i cry, she always hops onto my lap and kisses my tears away. if i don't stop after awhile, she whines and puts her paws on my cheeks, like she's cradling my face. her eyes get all soft and worried, and she cocks her head to one side and licks my nose. it's like she's telling me that everything is all right, and that she loves me and she's there for me.

i think i want to message david archuleta on myspace and thank him for his album. i got it for christmas, and the songs on it really mean a lot to me. trouble is, will he actually get it, and will he just laugh? i guess it doesn't really matter. he doesn't know who i am, so if he laughs who cares! i think i will.....if i'm not too lazy.

my table looks so pretty. see? it's made out of alder and some sort of orangey-red wood that i forget the name of. it looks red because of the lacquer and finish that i put on it, a natural color is what i chose. the black edging in the mosaic top stinks really bad when you put it on. it's like tar, but it smells toxic. i think it is, actually. my teacher says it's called bondo, but my supervisor says that you only use that stuff for metal. oh well. i love it. i love it so much i even took pictures to share with you. here's how it turned out:

the drawer even opens!!!

yes, i know. it's pretty much amazing. i love it. next year, or sometime in college, i hope to make an armoir to match. yay. i love woods. be proud of me, q. i'm going to admit that i'm good at something. I AM GOOD AT BUILDING THINGS!!! yay.

love is....

My friend wrote this. I'm going to share it, because I have now been diagnosed with the following:

Love is a disease.
Symptoms may include, but are not limited to:
A feeling of weakness in the knees,
Chill, clammy hands,
A fluttering heart.
Known to cause hallucinations, insomnia,
And a dreamy, drowsy state of mind.
Love is a virus.
Once acquired, it controls the thoughts
And emotions of its victim.
There is no real cure; all we can do is wait
For it to run its course.
So settle in, snuggle up together,
And wait for the bug to pass.

I HATE THIS!!!! IT'S COMPLETELY AND UTTERLY STUPID!!!!!!!!! ARRRRRGGGGGGGG.

K, so this is not an ordinary "crush." This is the completely understated and quiet thing. I look for him in the halls, smile, speak normally, and I don't have any problems with any of the above symptoms. Out loud, anyway. This is the subdued and, well, almost real love, not a crush. Dumb. DUmb. DUMb. DUMB!!!!

There. My vent for the day. Boys are dumb. Especially a certain one. Who's amazing, gorgeous, sweet, sensitive, kind, funny, polite, happy, glowing.........

Stupid.

yesterday...

Was so much fun! My family and I spent the day in Salt Lake City, where we went to see "The Savior of the World" and the lights on Temple Square. It truly was amazing to go up there together.

Here are some pics:

In front of the big tree before "The Savior of the World."

Modern day sheep.

I got lucky on all of the following pictures. I don't know how I got them to look good:

Now more with people in them:

Meghan's make-shift nose warmer and Amanda's frozen gum.

In front of the Christos in the Visitor's Center.

All in all, it was a very fun day. Sure, we had our spats and little fights, but we all felt the Spirit a lot, too.

Festival of Trees

I got to go to Festival of Trees twice this year! It's held in the Sandy Expo Center in Salt Lake (ish) every year as a benefit for the Primary Children's Hospital. The first time I went was on Wednesday with my family. I saw pretty much all of the trees and all of the gingerbread houses, including the Twilight one with Edward in the tree outside and the five foot tall Wellington Castle replica. My favorite tree was made out of blown glass. COMPLETELY made of blown glass. It was absolutely amazing! My other favorite tree was, of course, the Twilight one. And then the one that was a Candy Land Castle. And an angel tree. And...yeah. I liked it a lot.

The next day I went during school with FBLA. So much fun. I spent most of my time making crafts, and the favorite one I did was a teddy bear for a child who has to spend Christmas in the hospital. At the festival, you can purchase a bear for five dollars to decorate and donate for a kid. I picked a white, bespectacled bear and dressed him up. I put on a red cap with a yellow rick-rack border, a red ribbon tie, and two yellow buttons on his tummy. I named him Artie. He was adorable, and we ended up on the news together! Horror of horrors, because I HATE the way I look, but Artie made up for it. I hope the kid who gets him likes him.

I love Festival of Trees. Decorating bears, coloring and painting ornaments, getting my face painted, looking at trees. It all makes me so happy. I wish it happened more often. But then it wouldn't be as special, I guess.

yay! sadie hawkins 2008

I'm not failing Multimedia anymore! I have an A again! Yes!!!!

Christmas trees are amazing, even when they only have lights, beads, and one bow on them. Can you tell mine isn't finished yet?

Sadie Hawkins was a couple of weeks ago. Here are some pics of me and my amazing date, Josh Pittman:

Eat this, Barney!

Barney and Godzilla fight in New York City. Josh and I won the sculpting contest.

Yay! Fingerpainting!

Josh and me.

wow...

I have not posted in forever long. Sorry 'bout that. Too many things to worry about.

So I was diagnosed with more problems last week. Yippee. I'm failing three classes. Double yipyippee. Work is lame and my supervisor hates me. Well, I think he does. I'm not totally sure about that. He just is always mean.

Good thing that happened: I had time to eat lunch today and Mr. Carpenter didn't give us any homework. Which means that I have time to catch up on the homework assignments I missed so that I won't be even more behind. Yay.

I'm going to go play some games. See y'all.
