get involved...

Once upon a time, BYU's President Samuelson said, "Get involved during your time here at BYU." Shortly after, the president of the student association on campus said, "Take the time to get involved at the Y." Then, my mom said, "Go out and do some stuff besides school while you're here!" And then, one of my professors said, "Do things here that will help you learn from others, meet new people, gain greater perspective, and enrich your educational experience."

Well. With so many people telling me the same thing, how could I refuse? I sure tried to refuse. Who in their right minds would want to go out and get involved? That takes time! It requires meeting people...and talking to them! Then suddenly, all of these different, new things caught my eye. Random things, too.

Like the American Studies Student Council -- I'm in the program, so why not go to the meeting on Thursday and check it out? Or babysitting for a professor in the English department -- why not? They'll be paying me, and their kids are adorable. Gee, how about checking the audition board just for kicks while walking around campus between classes (I had three hours to kill today). Oh, they're doing Songs for A New World this fall? Huh. Why not try out? I'm free that night.

All of the sudden I've got so many things I'm looking into and trying for -- I'm a bit freaked out. I kind of forgot that little thing called time. Not to mention work. And homework (oh, homework). And housework. And, you know. Maybe eating food.

My head hurts. It really, really hurts. I keep looking at my schedule (ugh) and just wondering how I'm going to get everything done. But do I stop? No. I just add some more right on top of it! I shouldn't worry about things yet though. I mean, sure. Try out, go to the meeting and see how it goes, but if I don't make those things, then I don't have anything to worry about. It's if I actually make it that could be a potential problem -- if I don't make it, it's not a part of my life anyway.

Don't sign up for things on the first day of school when you're bored, because once school gets underway, you won't be bored for long.

jumping on the zombie wagon...

Ever since the beginning of the zombie craze that has swept the world of cyberspace, I have wondered at how something so gruesome and creepy could ever be popular. Zombie books, zombie films, zombie TV shows, zombie memes, zombie zombie zombie everything -- all packed full of brain-seeking, limb-twitching, face-pulling, moan-making living dead creatures.

Not appealing. Not at all.

I'll admit that I've read my share of zombie themed YA fantasy and sci-fi novels. The Forest of Hands and Teeth is a particularly interesting read. It was fascinating because of the detail and, well. The title and cover art alone were enough to make me pick it up off of the shelf (yes, I do choose books based on their covers). But other than that, I've never been into the "genre." It's always creeped me out.

Thanks to Parker, though, I took my shot at entering the zombie media. He invited me to auditions for a music video that is being put together by his brother. I had no desire to audition, but since I only get to see Parker every once in awhile, I decided to go and say hi, maybe watch some people show their stuff. No way in heck was I going to try out though. Do you have any idea how stupid people look when pretending to be zombies? Pretty darn stupid. In a highly entertaining sort of way.

Of course, Parker tried to get me to audition. So did his brothers, sister, and sister-in-law who were there. I was too scared though, and too afraid. I watched and found myself wishing that I could have a shot. It was a short-lived wish, though. Too scared. I didn't want to look dumb.

After saying good-bye to Parker and heading home, I started re-thinking my decision to not try out. I inventoried the reasons why I hadn't done it. 1) I was afraid I'd look like an idiot, 2) there was a very good chance I'd look like an idiot, fear aside, and 3) the only thing I know about zombies is from books and memes -- I've never actually seen a film or show that has them in it, so I didn't know how they moved or sounded or anything.

Sitting at a stoplight, I realized that the main thing holding me back was fear of looking stupid. Then a new fear crept in. It was a fear that if I didn't try out, I'd get home and regret it, especially when the video comes out. I'll see it, and it'll probably be cool, and I'll think "Girl, you are so stupid. You totally could have had a chance at being in this -- and you chickened out. Just like everything else you've ever not done."

That was it. I turned the car around and drove back, thinking up potential movement I could do when I got back. I ran into the room, and when Parker's sister Whitney asked if I'd changed my mind, I said, "YES. Because I'm tired of missing out on things because I was too afraid to try -- I'm not doing that today."

And guess what? All of them clapped for me! All of these grown-ups who had been trying to get me to try out for two hours clapped. One of them, I don't even remember her name, told me that she was proud of me. They didn't even know me, but they didn't treat me like I was dumb or silly or immature (which I am).

So I tried out! I had no idea what I was doing, and my face was red the whole time, and I kept giggling -- but I did it! It was scary, and my legs felt like jell-o, but I did it. And now I'm sitting here in my house not feeling sad or regretful -- I feel good.

Was I scared? You bet. Did I look stupid? Of course. But did I do it? Yep. I did. Take that, zombies. I'm not scared of you.

weekend...

I made callbacks for the show. I did not get cast. I'm trying not to be upset about it anymore. Being honest, though, it's really hard to accept that the directors considered me "head and shoulders" above everyone else in all but one area. My mom is on the production team for one of the shows that I tried out for, so she told me what happened. It got down to me and one other girl for a role, and even though I was proficient in every single area but the one she was good at, they cast her. Why? She's a theater major. I'm an American Studies major. Should have seen that one coming.

I'll get over it. I probably won't be trying out for anything at the Y ever again though. What's the point if they're going to pick a theater major for all of the plays, dance majors for all of the dance teams, and music majors for all of the choirs? It's hard to be told that you're fantastic, and a "first choice," then be shunted aside for someone who is in the department.

Understandable, really. But it doesn't feel very good.

The other most memorable, less disappointing thing of the weekend: guess who got a letter today? This girl did. My dad actually drove over to my work and gave me the letter because he knew how excited it would make me. I have the greatest dad ever. And he was right. I just about threw the box I was holding into the air, I was so out of my mind happy.

Elder Raddatz is doing well. He said that General Conference was awesome (which made me feel slightly guilty because I didn't catch any of it), and that he and his companion have gotten in contact with two new people who are very interested in our church. It's really great!

Jordan is doing so awesome out there! Every time I talk to his mom she has stories about how well things are going in Jordan's area. He's a busy guy! It's nice that he took the time to write to me. And I love that he still addresses all of the letters with the nickname his little sister came up with for me. Makes the letters even more special, you know?

Wow, I miss him. I need to start working on his birthday present. Any ideas for me?

PS "Once Upon a Time" is just annoying. I caught up on the episodes I've missed and the show just bugs me. So why do I watch it? I honestly do not know. Meh.

a comic...me?

I auditioned for a play today.

It was alright. They had groups of us auditionees go into the studio four at a time. After asking us why we wanted to be a part of the production, they had us get into partnerships. And then they dropped the bomb: "improv a fairy tale for us."

I SUCK at improv.

Seriously. I am so bad at it. Not to mention I got totally confused because the detailed instructions were to act out a fairy tale...but the two girls before my partnership and the girl I was with decided to do storytelling. So instead of creating a scene or having a plot, they told the entire story starting with "Once upon a time" and so forth.

Con-freakin-fused.
I found out later that one of the directors we were auditioning for is the storytelling professor in the theater department. A lot of her students were trying out, so they were doing what she'd taught them. Soooo yeah.

Anyway. So the my partner and I get up to do our improv section. She got into the storyteller groove, and I stood there feeling like an idiot. Then it came time for me to say something, so I went for it and...

they laughed at me.

Not just a polite titter or a chuckle, but a throw-your-head-back, bust-a-gut roar. I was so thoroughly thrown off by it that I looked at them like a deer in the headlights, then realized this was an audition so I just had to go with it. So I kept going and...
they laughed even harder.

Every time I opened my mouth they started laughing their heads off. So while I was up there making a fool of myself I replayed what I had done and said in my early improv attempts and started laughing too because gosh dang it...I was funny.

It was fun. I don't know if anything will come of it, but it was entertaining. It still is entertaining to think back and picture my 5 foot 2 inch self trying to tower over a girl three inches taller than me, ordering her to come to dinner and go on a date with me because "I'm the Beast!"

...

You would have had to be there to appreciate it

a snowy day...

Come see what I saw while walking through my neighborhood today. I was selling tickets to help pay for my choir tour, and I just happened to have my camera with me.

geese flying over my neighborhood

birds resting after the storm

reminders of spring

mountains...clouds...sky...happy

It was a good walk. I got to see lots of pretty things, plus I made more money to help pay for tour. Double win.

Oh! Tonight was my sister's performance with All-State Junior Honor Choir. And guess what? She had a solo!! It was a total surprise for all of us, including her. She tried out yesterday for a solo in the last big number and got "second place" (it was kind of like American Idol she said) out of 160 girls. :D :D :D Go, Meghan!! Then, two hours before the performance, the director asked her if she would solo on another song because "I felt badly that there wasn't a spot for you because you did so well and I couldn't get you out of my head all night long". Haha!! So Meghan had a solo on a song called "Dancing Tree". Here's a picture of her and the director, Dr. Broomhead (no joke). He also knows Mrs. Mathews, my choir teacher, and said he'll be keeping an eye on Meghan, me, and Amanda. :)

It's kind of a lousy picture, but there was a long line of people waiting to talk to him. Sorry about the blurry faces-they actually look a little bit different than that. Haha :).

17 again...

Last day as a minor. I'm kind of wishing I'd done more as a "teenager". All of my friends (or most of them) have done so many fun things and been such typical 14-17 year olds. I've been a "mini adult" most of the time, as my brother tells me. Ah, well. It's just a new stage to try new things. Someday I'll be an old lady laughing at how badly I wanted to grow up, then deciding I didn't want to anymore. Someday I may realize that in some ways you never really do grow up-you can always stay connected to that beginning until it's time for it all to end.

"Grease" auditions today went all right. It turned out better than I thought it would, and I'm really glad. I also took myself out to lunch at Wendy's because 1) I wanted to and 2) I was hungry and didn't have a 3rd period, lunch would be spent rehearsing, and 4th studying. It was fun. :)

Tomorrow is Preference. I'm so excited!! Everything has been working out really well. Hopefully it will go smoothly, and everyone will have a fun time.

it was perfect...

I found out that the girl didn't play Maria. They just look very, very much alike. So, my bad.

I was so glad to see Zach, I almost started to cry. We hugged and hugged for a long time, just holding on to each other. He was late tonight, and I kept catching myself wondering what could have gone wrong (for example, car wreck, beaten up at school, kidnapped, and other outrageous scenarios). In reality he was coming straight from an audition. He made callbacks!!! I'm so excited for him! I bet he'll get Tommy Jeelis (spelling?). He'd be perfect, because he's a fantastic dancer AND he can sing. The dancing is more important for that part though (Music Man). I can't wait to find out!

Zach almost killed me a couple of times. The first time had to do with a costume piece. Before the show started and during the beginning of the first act, we found an apple that had fallen off of his costume (fake food rocks for stage). At first the two of us were tossing it at each other, and then a few other kids/teenagers started to play. Instead of tossing the apple, Zach started kicking them to us. He almost took my head off. I just thought it was funny; he ran away and hid in the costume rack. When I chased after him my make-up smeared. I was about to go over to the full length mirrors to fix it when he stopped me and fixed the smudge himself.

Be still my heart! No boy has ever touched my face before, except to smack me for beating them when we were in kindergarten. Second time with Zach. Wow. That was the second time he almost killed me.

MOLO got a huge cheer. The whole audience was being rather quiet during this performance. That usually happens on a Wednesday night, but it kind of threw off the performers in the first act. Our job as Ozians was to spike up the energy level. We did. I always do really well in that number-it's not difficult and I feel extrememly comfortable with it. I mean, there's hardly any tech involved at all (no strobe lights, black lights, lasers, or smoke like in J-bug). Not to mention the fact that Zach and I usually stand together on the balcony five minutes before intermission ends, then go down onto the stage and talk for a bit behind the curtains with our other friends. He always gives me a hug before we go to our positions, me on right stage and he on the left. Tonight the lights went down a lot faster than usual, and neither of us could see a thing. He reached out and found me, then pulled me into a hug. I so did not want to let go. It was like the whole world had disappeared with the absence of light, and it was just the two of us on the empty stage. *sigh*

Jitterbug was perfect tonight. I'm so glad it was, because not only did it make me feel Ozsome but Zach was standing in the alcove watching the whole thing. I had no idea until I went offstage and I saw him standing there, grinning from ear to ear. He said it's his favorite number in the show. Mine, too, though I've never actually seen it.

Everything was basically amazing. And wonderful and fantastic and just perfect.

catching up...

Thursday, August 20
School sucks. The end.

Friday, August 21
See my 20 ?s post if you want to. I missed third period today (Concert Choir/beginning choir) to go to a funeral. A friend of mine lost her father in a car accident; he was killed after a trailer fish tailed and flipped the car over. Pray for her? Thanks.

No rehearsal tonight. School dance! Read about it in an earlier post.

Saturday, August 22
Will Rehearsal of Doom NEVER END?!?!?!? It did, finally, after waiting around from 9:00 until 3:30 to actually be onstage, and then having to wait for mom until almost 7:00 so she could work on filming with Misty. Ugh. Tech sucks. At least it's over.

Sunday, August 23
Oquirrh Mountain Temple dedication today. My family and I went to the second session. I really liked what the speakers talked about (temple work, dedication, sacrifice, love for others). The choir was okay, except for one flat tenor. Or was it a bass? I can't remember. I just remember that I felt really special and happy during the meeting.

Monday, August 24
My first day in Mr. Jackman's Health Science class for real. We didn't do much-he doesn't even let us take notes because he says "This is too boring to write down, so don't. I'll just tell you if it's important, and if I forget to tell you and it's on the test then you all get 100%." He's awesome.

First dress rehearsal, and first ever Monday rehearsal. Hannah did my make-up for me tonight; I don't have a clue as to how to do regular make-up, let alone stage make-up. When I was just learning this art, I was in CATS at PCT (same place I'm doing WoOz). I tell you what, it's way harder to learn how to do little details and small strokes when you're used to putting a glob of brown on a two inch sponge and covering your whole face with it.

My costumes are working! Yay! Now let's hope my tap shoes don't squish my toes off.

Tuesday, August 25
My first day in Concert Choir. Mrs. Mathews asked me to stand up in front of the class and sing a warm-up by myself. Awkward. I was terrified, but ended up being given a standing ovation by my classmates. The sopranos (Sops) have dubbed me section leader. So no pressure, right? :/

I spent my free fourth period talking to Riley about everything from ridiculously large English textbooks to Avatar. It was pretty much amazing. Right after school I went to audition for Guys and Dolls and totally flubbed it. Seriously, my voice cracked twice during my song, and I forgot some of my lines from my monologue. Improvisation is not something I do every day, so I was just blargh. Pretty much ruined the rest of the day. Yes, I know, that's emotionally unintelligent, but ya know what? Deal with it.

I hate working. I had to drive out to rehearsal tonight because I worked until 6:00. I think I don't like it mostly because it takes time away from the things I really want to do (like study and perform and take dance lessons) and my uniform shirt is too small (I won't get a free one until October). I'll stop complaining now.

Rehearsal was fine. I did my own make-up and did well on the dance steps. Wait until opening night. I'll probably totally screw up. Oh, speaking of rehearsals. I'm sort of making a new friend with Zach, Brenden/Scarecrow's little brother. Well, not little little. 10 months younger than me. He's super nice. And cute.

Wednesday, August 26
Watched a rather grotesque film in Health Science about Phineas Gage, a man who had a tamping rod shot through his brain, disconnecting the cerebral cortex from the reptilian brain (or limbic system), and survived. In 1884. WtFreak, right?

Today the dance/movement auditions for Guys and Dolls were after school. I had an awesome time! Sarah, my Algebra 2 buddy, said that I was the only one who looked like I was having tons of fun. Well, I was. It was the first dance audition that I've had where I didn't totally screw up. It was a total blast! I kind of hope I get cast as just a dancer; the choreographer is really talented and super nice.

Final Dress rehearsal, with audience. It was fantastic; they loved it! We performed for the senior citizens. Nana, or my grandma (who thinks she's all that and has total control and blah, blah, blah), said that the senior citizens never respond-they don't laugh, they don't clap, they just act like they're dead. Um, hello? Does she not remember that she falls into that same category? That woman is so up in the night sometimes.

I spent some more time with Zach tonight. I help him pull his ginormous tree costume on when he goes onstage during the Tin Man scene. All of the apples keep falling off. I have to go around chasing them so I can stick them back onto the fabric. He finds it funny. So do I.

Thursday, August 27-OPENING NIGHT!!!
Started my college classes today. I was late for Communications 1050, and the other kids in my class (19, yay, I'm not alone!) told me that the teacher had called my name and said that she knew me, then wanted to talk to me over the microphones. When they said I wasn't there, she (Janet) asked them to tell me she'd said hello and to get on the mic when I showed up. I declined the invitation to say hello. Rude of me perhaps, but that is so weird. I have never met her in my life!

Meteorology 1010 is going to be a pain. For starters, the textbook costs $120.90. OUCH.

Didn't make call-backs.

Opening Night was great! All of the tech (which was a disaster and the people on the crew are mostly rude-cough, flight manager) pulled together, and the audience was great. They loved it! Problems on my part-I kind of forgot to pull my J-bug mask on before I went onstage. I didn't even notice until after I got offstage to prepare for my second entrance. Oops. Other than that I did well, I think. Yay!

Zach and I talked a lot tonight. He's really a nice guy. We now have an inside joke, which we repeat to one another every night. "Break a nose." Haha. Don't ask.

Friday, August 28
I slept through first and second period today, so I missed Seminary and Health Science. I guess I was super tired, because I heard my alarm clock go off and had this conversation with myself- "Georgie, you've got get up. But I can't get up! But I have to; I've got school and stuff! I just can't. I just can't. I can't, I can't, I...*zzzzz*". For reals. It was a conscious conversation, where I lost to sleep. So, dad wrote me a note so I could check in to Algebra 2, which I did. Then I spent my free fourth period making up Health Science, because Jackman teaches it during second and fourth periods on A days and B days. Convenient.

Second performance night! Screwed up again during "Jitterbug" but not as badly. I just crashed into Kensey/Dorothy when Misty/Toto ran in the opposite direction from me. I gotta get that dog offstage! Sorry if I run you over! Zach stood in the wings watching, which was sort of nerve wracking because I found myself wanting to impress him, and ended up not doing so great. Trying too hard I guess. He still told me that I did a great job. Then I remembered that he's never watched it any other time. *phew* Close one.

I didn't see anyone that I knew in the audience. *sigh* I hope some of my friends can come.

Zach and I are having way too much fun together. From skipping like Dorothy and Scarecrow down the halls to breaking noses, we keep laughing and talking about everything. Except ourselves. I actually don't mind that one bit. It's great to not have to explain yourself to someone; things just pop up out of nowhere and you don't have to worry about being judged. I love that about Zach.

Saturday, August 29
Slept until 12:30, which was so amazing. Then I didn't really do anything, until mom and I had a huge fight about me before rehearsal. We won't go into details; I'd have to admit defeat. Which I kind of just did.

Zach and I hung out almost the whole night. I'd get up to go somewhere and he'd follow me. I didn't mind one bit. Emma, Carisa, Belen, and Jaz say I'm in love. Not in love, but definitely twitterpated. It was interesting, because during intermission I went out on the balcony. He followed along, and suddenly we were talking about his role as Tony in West Side Story last year in school. Suddenly he wasn't funny, happy-go-lucky Zach. He was somber and his eyes were full of pain. Zach told me about someone who meant a lot to him last year, the girl who played Maria. It ended badly. The look in his eyes scared me. He looked so heartbroken and alone. That's when I decided that he will never have such pain in his eyes because of me. Friends, and nothing more. I will never hurt him like that.

Major, major, major screw up tonight, involving a missing costume. I wasn't able to do "Jitterbug" because my leotard was gone. I spent ten frantic minutes looking for it, trying to contact my dad in the audience through text message because he had BOTH sets of keys to the van and failing. I cried. Hard. The worst part was that Zach came looking for me to see if I was okay. I didn't want him to see me crying. I hid in the dressing room. He finally found me after the show was over. He gave me a hug and asked me if I wanted to go get ice cream with him and his friends. I said no, because I had to go home with my family (we live half an hour away from Payson). Then he kissed his fingers and placed his hand on my cheek. Remember my promise that we're just friends? Boy, I almost broke that one fast.

My friend from my Ceramics class last year came! Zoe, who is a fantastic performer, said that she had tons of fun and it was super good. I'm so glad she came. I love Zoe!

Sunday, August 30
Spent the day sleeping, uploading pictures, and reading. Now I'm going back to bed. Oh, but I wanted to share this. Don't laugh. It's just silliness.

The Curtain's Up
Every time I’m with you is like
preparing to go onstage.
Knees begin to shake;
heart begins to drum;
stomach full of frantic,
fluttering butterflies.

Anticipation.
Exhilaration.

And sometimes, even dread.

Take a deep, steadying breath
and clasp my hands tightly
behind my back.
Try to keep them from reaching up
to my hair, or in some cases,
yours.

The music starts,
the lights go up.
Curtains open onto
figures in bright colors,
busy going about their
memorized lives, oblivious

to me and you.

And you, oblivious,
to me.

attendance...

I've been rather absent lately. Dress rehearsals, costume prep, work, school, and auditions have been taking up a lot of my time. Final Dress was tonight. It went rather well, except for the tech crew (grumble, grumble, but that's a story for another day). I'll be updating this blog and my blog for the show on Saturday afternoon and Sunday, and probably be back on Monday and Tuesday of next week (until performances start up again). Opening night is tomorrow. It's finally here. Wow.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up on your blogs. I haven't forgotten you. Life has just gotten in the way of what I would really like to be doing. I guess my high school and college transcripts are more important right now, as much as I hate to admit it. Ugh.

Miss you all! I'll try and get back into the swing of things in a couple of weeks. Unless I make the cut for Guys and Dolls. Then I won't be around much until, like, November. Such is life.

Why do I always create busy schedules for myself? Why?

high week...

Oh, sorry. It's actually Hi Week. But High Week is so much more fun, as is a High Dance instead of a Hi Dance. Nah, there weren't any drugs or smokes or anything (that I know of) and if there were I would have skeedaddled. 'Cause "Oim a good gahrl aIy am!!!" (Eliza Doolittle, My Fair Lady) Mostly.

Yeah, yeah, I might have done a little too much booty shaking for a Mormon girl (and believe me, mine gets noticed...:P), and maybe I got too into the "Pop it, lock it, drop it" verses of "Fire Burning", BUT...compared to the rest of the crowd, I probably looked like Baby Bop on Barney dancing in her little pink slippers with her blankie. Seriously, some girls turn into Vegas night club entertainers at these dances.

Of the approximately 200 people at the dance, 100 were probably sophomores, 70 juniors, and 25-30 seniors. Pa-the-tic. Sure, there was a pregame for our football team (against SFHS) and seniors and juniors can drive, whereas sophomores can't. Doesn't help that we got CREAMED. Or so I heard through the texting grapevine. I don't have a phone, so I just saw snippets of glowing conversations while dancing. Dunno.

I had to leave early because I've got the for reals Rehearsal of Doom tomorrow. Leaving at 7:30 in the am on a Saturday is not fun. Staying until 8:00 or 9:00 at night is even worse. Ugh. But hey, I'll have time to memorialize (haha) my monologue for my audition next week, work on tying fleece blankets for some kids who used to live in my ward/neighborhood (their dad was killed in a car accident last Thursday; I went to the funeral this morning and it was really sad. Pray for them, or think about them, k?), and listen to the music from Guys and Dolls on my laptop/music for my audition ("Wonderful, Wonderful Day" from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers). No homework yet. Good thing, yes? YES!!!

And I forgot to mention I changed my schedule. Again. Guess which classes I dropped/added? Guess, guess!!!

hectic...

I've been so busy. Shopping, working, rehearsing, volunteering, and just trying to keep my head above water has taken up most of my time lately. Here's the general idea of what's gone on:

1. Tuesday we had our first full run for Oz. It went...okay.

2. My last summer day volunteering at the library was on Tuesday morning, and it was the day that I finally got my volunteer badge. Funny how that works.

3. Wednesday the girls, mom, and I went shopping for school stuff (mostly for my sisters) and things for costumes. We found gorgeous gold hair clips to use for MOLO. I'm way excited.

4. Rehearsal went surprisingly well. Show run time at this present day is 2 hours 8 minutes. Not bad.

5. The first day of school was today. It sucked, but could have been worse. Sarah Hawkins sits next to me in math, so we are having too much fun. Algebraic equations are not supposed to be fun. At least according to the other students in the class. It will be super weird being one of three seniors in Algebra II. Most of the others are stuck up little sophomores. Seriously, those kids have ISSUES this year.

6. I really, really, REALLY want to take Mr. Jackman's Health Science class. So, I'm dropping Woods tomorrow to take H.S. instead. YAY!!!

7. I don't have rehearsal tonight, which is why I'm snagging a minute to write this.

8. My manager forgot that I don't get out of class until 3:15 on Tuesdays and Thursdays this fall. He has me scheduled to work every Tuesday at 3:00, and I can't even get there until 3:30 or 3:40.

9. The box holding my pasta salad in my Spiderman lunch bag leaked all over. I'm SO glad that we bought lunch box/bags instead of using paper sacks. Phew.

10. I'm exhausted.

11. AND I need to find a 15-30 second monologue to memorize because I'm auditioning for "Guys and Dolls" at my high school on Monday or Tuesday. I won't get a really good part because Mr. Criman, the drama man, always casts his drama students in the leads. Which is kind of sad, because some of them suck and some of them just have crappy attitudes and are way rude to everyone else. :P

Good bye. I'm going to watch "Avatar" now, because my homework is done. :P
