reading about the immune system is making me sick...

I really don't want to know HOW my immune system works or WHY it works. I feel achy and ill learning about it. As long as it works, I don't care. I just don't want to know!

I'm currently reading the chapter in my Health book about vaccinations and infectious pathogens. Just the words about needles, medicines, dead microbes, cell damage, parasites, system structures, and donated blood plasma is making me hurt all over.

Is there a vaccine for that?

Oh yeah, I totally understand! I feel sick-and have that light achey feeling-when I hear about blood. How can people give blood? Ick!

Cool books at the bottom! They look really good

Yeah, I hated immunology, too.

You know what's even worse? When such things are accompanied by pictures. That's awful.

I feel for you.

I am so sorry you feel that way! Immunology is a wonderful topic. I agree, it can get a little bit overwhelming in the beginning. But think of it all as one big battlefield with lots of specialised soldiers. That helps. Believe me. I flunked my first exam in immunology, but then I read this wonderful book that shows the whole of immunology as a big war inside the body. I really can't remember the title, but I sure shall look if I can find it.

Hope it helps u.

I blog hopped to your place!! I like it and I am glad I came.

I did my Grd and Post Grad in Genetics. And we had long long papers on immunogenetics. So, I just had to tell you about it. Hope you don't mind?

Coleman-Exactly. *shudder*

Grumpy-It's fascinating but horrid at the same time.

spider-I got lucky; no pictures. Good thing, too, or the textbook would have been more expensive. :P

Rohini-It really is cool, I know. Just so weird! And I don't mind that you tell me; that's awesome!
